Job completed for Newnan High School

Completion date: March 1, 2021

Location: Newnan, GA

Why did the customer contact us?

We received a call that a section of the roof at Newnan High School had been blown off after a thunderstorm with strong winds.

The team waited until the next morning when it was daylight to come back to get the tarping completed. The team facilitated getting a dumpster onsite in order to remove the debris from in front of the school.

Solutions provided:

After the temporary repairs were completed, the PENCO team worked to extract 400 square feet of water from the drama room. They also removed the affected ceiling tiles and scheduled asbestos testing, but no abatement was needed for the space. They also performed a lead test on the plaster wall and received negative results as well.

The team placed three air airscrubbers prior to demolition. After demolition, four dehumidifiers and twenty-five airmovers were placed in order to dry the affected area. The PENCO project manager then rebuilt the ceiling structure, replaced drywall and the trim. They also resanded the stage, as well as polished and cleaned the floor.

PENCO worked with the school's insurance adjuster throughout the process to restore the school.
